UES Clothing

Chuji Matsumoto founded UES in 1994 on the principle that clothes should be used for as long as possible before they become unusable. The UES flagship store in Daikanyama, Tokyo is something akin to a sanctuary of Japanese sartorial craft and passion.

Everything you touch, from the denims to the sweats to the shirts, T-shirts and jackets, is an impeccable example of Japanese craftsmanship, using only the best materials and construction techniques. We are beginning our UES adventure with the most prodigious 15.5oz heavyweight flannel shirts we’ve ever seen.

Everything about the details on these shirts is noteworthy, but what is most striking (and reassuring) is the “handle” of the supremely soft brushed cotton interior in relationship to its rugged exterior.

As they say, quality is remembered long after price is forgotten.
