It is a 13.5oz fabric using 100% American Cotton from Memphis, woven on old power looms. With 7 Warp threads and 7 Weft threads which are rope dyed Indigo, the total number of threads per inch is 66 Warp and 48 Weft. \u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003e\u003cem style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: larger;\"\u003e\u003cem\u003eBy weaving a strong and twisted yarn, the fabric of these jeans feels stiffer and more taught than usual, this makes for excellent whiskering and fades, we took fabric from the 1940’s as inspiration for the “66 Denim” so expect vertical fading and whiskering on the “66Denim 306SA” Jeans. \u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003e\u003cem style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: larger;\"\u003e\u003cem\u003eThe style of thread we used for these jeans is based on those of 1966 examples, Orange stitching is seen throughout and in some key areas of reinforcement (Back Yoke, Crotch and Side Seams) this is more prevalent. For this run we have used a 7 \/-× 6 \/ - thread count to make the fabric thicker than we use on the “66 Denim”, the Warp is made from American Cotton and the Weft is Zimbabwe for added comfort and a soft handle. The thread count is 66x 44, the Weft thread count being reduced slightly compared to the 66 denim for a little bit of ease. \u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003e\u003cem style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: larger;\"\u003e\u003cem\u003eThe \u003cstrong\u003e“44Denim”\u003c\/strong\u003e has all the features you’d expect of jeans from this era, in response to the production restrictions at the time; Herringbone pocket bags, no arcuate and no rivets on the coin pocket bag.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003e\u003cem style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: larger;\"\u003e\u003cem\u003e By changing the Weft to Zimbabwean cotton, and retaining the dry crispiness of the Warp Memphis, the denim will age gently with wear and washing.
