DC4 x GLAD HAND & Co.

Limited "GUNNER" - LIFE Magazine T-Shirt

This special collaboration, crafted by Japanese artist Designer L, pays tribute to the historic first printed T-shirt showcased in LIFE magazine on 13th July 1942.

In a creative homage, Designer L. meticulously recreated the original "Air Corps Gunner" design, adding his own twist with iconic symbols: the classic top hat from Glad Hand & Co. and the distinctive flying wheel from DC4.

These additions lend a unique blend of vintage charm and modern style to the piece, highlighting Designer L’s signature approach of weaving contemporary symbols into nostalgic designs.

• The exclusive ROYAL CLASS series

 • Loopwheeled fabric, produced on vintage knitting machines from 1920s

• The Glad Hand & Co. T-Shirts have one of the most beautiful loopwheel textures

• Color: White

• One washed - the fabric will not shrink anymore

• The T-Shirt comes in a special DC4 x GLAD HAND & Co. box

"Thank you from the bottom of my heart" is the iconic phrase from Glad Hand & Co.

• Made in Wakayama - Japan

The model is 182cm tall, weighs 70kg and is wearing a size L.

DESIGNER L.

" ......is a Tokyo-based artist and famous designer whose work bridges a unique mix of contemporary style and vintage nostalgia.

Starting his career in 1999, Designer L has developed a distinct aesthetic that merges graphic design, hand-painted apparel, custom automotive art, and fine canvas work, often using a self-developed technique.

His creative journey in Japan’s art and design scene spans decades, marked by collaborations with prominent brands and boutique shops.

A pivotal moment in his career came in 2009 when he became the exclusive designer for GLADHAND, taking charge of all brand artwork. His collaborations have since included work with well-known brands and designers, such as Bobby Green, OLD CROW, Regal, Porter, Schott, Warner, United Arrows, and Isetan.

His artistry also extends to specialized projects, like designing the store concept, logo, and pomade for Wolfman Barber Shop—a notable name in Japanese barbershop culture—and creating the logo and store design for THE FAT HATTER, a custom hat shop."
