The C-2 sweater (actually called a vest) is replicated from sweat material. The motif of the print is the B-17 Flying Fortress plane in which the main character, Captain Buzz Rickson, served as captain in the movie "The War Lover" starring Steve McQueen. The number printed in stencil style on his back is the aircraft number that is on the tail of the B-17.

"In 1943, Captain Buzz Rickson (Steve McQueen) is an arrogant pilot in command of a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress while stationed in Britain during the Second World War. On one mission over Germany, Rickson's commanding officer, Colonel Emmet (Jerry Stovin), aborts the bomber group's attack due to cloud cover. Instead of obeying his superior, Rickson dives under the clouds and completes the mission."
