Goldfish Pattern Jacquard Work Shirt
The fabric is a special double weave, combining the dark color of rope indigo with white yarn and the lighter color of rope indigo with white yarn. The water chestnut and goldfish patterns are made of dark-colored threads, and as the shirt is worn, the colors fade and the patterns gradually come to the surface.
The Narihirabishi pattern is one of the patterns that has been used in Japan since at least before 700 AD. It is imbued with the meaning of prosperity of one's descendants and good health.
